A long-running Turkish crime-comedy franchise is expanding to television with the upcoming Netflix release Money Trap: The Karun Treasure. Set to premiere on October 16, 2026, the eight-episode production marks the first time the franchise has been adapted into a TV show format.
What's new
The franchise originally began in 2005 with the film Organize İşler (released as Magic Carpet Ride in the US), written and directed by Yılmaz Erdoğan. A sequel, Organize İşler Sazan Sarmalı (Money Trap), followed in 2019. The upcoming 2026 project brings the crew back to the screen, serving as both a reboot and a sequel within a universe familiar to long-time viewers.
