About the series
Created and written by Tuğba Doğan and directed by Mert Baykal, the Turkish-language series carries the original title Seni Tanıyorum, which translates roughly to "I Know You." The story focuses on Funda, a painter who pauses her career after giving birth to a newborn baby girl. Torn between motherhood and her art, Funda decides to accept help and hires a nanny named Nazlı. While Nazlı initially seems like a solution, her mysterious behavior and hidden secrets soon spark tension and endanger the family.
The core lineup includes:
- Elçin Sangu as Funda
- Ozan Dolunay as Funda's husband, İlker
- Melis Sezen as Nazlı, the new nanny
The broader ensemble cast features Cemal Hünal, Efe Taşdelen, Murat Garipağaoğlu, Mine Teber, Nergis Öztürk, Arbil Tabur, Esra Şahin, along with Ada and Arya Özdemir.
What to expect
The series carries a TV-MA rating due to its focus on domestic danger, psychological manipulation, mature relationship dynamics, sensuality, coarse language, smoking, and drinking. Because of these mature themes and situations involving risk to a child, it is not considered suitable for younger viewers. Instead of relying on jump scares, the plot builds slow-burn dread around manipulation, trust, and family conflict, delivering a psychological thriller focused on an invited stranger with hidden motives.
