About the series

Having aired on Netflix since 2019, the streaming show has undergone notable changes over time, including major recastings. Liam Hemsworth, who took over as Geralt in Season 4 following Henry Cavill's exit, returns to play the main character for the final run. He stars alongside returning cast members Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart, and James Purefoy as Stefan Skellen.

The final season also introduces multiple new cast members taking on characters from the book series:

  • Ellie Taylor as Duchess Anna Henrietta
  • Emily-Jo Young as Shani
  • Neil Stuke as Dominik Houvenaghel
  • Kate Dickie as Priestess Sigrdrifa
  • Liv Andrusier, Andy Apollo, Sam Pamphilon, and Yinka Awoni

What to expect

The upcoming season will adapt remaining material from the Andrzej Sapkowski books The Tower of the Swallow and The Lady of the Lake. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich indicated that the adaptation intends to respect the original conclusion from the source novels.

Plot details reveal where the key figures stand following their separation. After being knighted by Queen Meve, Geralt travels toward Toussaint with his Hansa. Yennefer finds herself located on the Skellige Isles. Meanwhile, Ciri starts out imprisoned in an arena by Bonhart before successfully escaping. Throughout the final season, the ultimate objective for Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri is to reunite at last.
