About the series
Produced by Toei Animation to mark the studio's 70th anniversary, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is a streamlined, 19-episode edition of the original 2015 anime. Running weekly from October 11 through February 14, the series presents updated visual composition, revised animation direction, and a reconstructed storyline. The compact run covers three main story arcs:
- The God of Destruction Beerus arc
- The Resurrection ‘F’ arc
- The Universe 6 arc
Masako Nozawa provides the voice for Goku, and Koichi Yamadera voices Beerus. The anime is also anticipated to continue later with Dragon Ball Super The Galactic Patrol, covering the Moro arc from the manga.
What to expect
An official preview and title for the third installment have not been made available yet. However, the plot picks up from the second episode, which saw Beerus traveling through space with Whis after visions of a Super Saiyan God led him to hear about a Saiyan who defeated Frieza. Episode three is set to continue this journey as Beerus seeks out Goku. Because the remake features a restructured narrative, specific story beats may differ from the original anime's third episode.
