About the series
The show originally takes inspiration from Arsène Lupin, the classic gentleman thief created by French author Maurice Leblanc in 1905. Rather than directly adapting the original books, the series follows Assane as a modern character who adopts Lupin's methods—including disguises, elaborate tricks, clever codes, and false identities—to pull off his heists. For Part 4, the storyline strays further from the original novels, leaning into original concepts with Omar Sy stepping up as co-showrunner and co-producer alongside Louis Leterrier.
What to expect
To clear his name and expose the person framing him, Assane must pull off a prison escape and outsmart an enemy who understands his tricks. The four-year time jump will explore how the characters have evolved alongside key returning cast members:
