The original Manifest series ran for four seasons from 2018 to 2023, following the story of Flight 828 passengers who landed over five years after disappearing without having aged. The new spinoff shifts focus to an entirely different supernatural event.
The premise of the new drama involves several key elements:
- An unexplained plane crash-lands in Denver.
- The onboard passengers suffer complete memory loss regarding their identities, origins, and purpose.
- Main characters Zoe Deaver and Mike Deaver collaborate with the new arrivals to solve the mystery and stop a potential catastrophe threatening humanity.
What to expect
Behind the camera, the spinoff brings back familiar creative talent. Original series creator Jeff Rake is returning alongside Margaret Easley and Laura Putney, who both worked on the original show and will serve as co-creators and co-showrunners for this new chapter.
