What's new
Episode 22 of the drama series delivers significant plot developments across multiple regions. Chingis, who was previously held by the Golbad police, secures his freedom after Nokor lobbies Balka's Minister of Justice, Kimer, to grant him status as a Balka diplomat with diplomatic immunity. Shortly after his release, an anonymous encrypted message prompts Chingis to travel to the Shin-Shi headquarters in Azerbaijan.
In Azerbaijan, Drum attempts to escape detention by breaking his handcuffs, but he is shot six times by Ryu and buried alive by Shin-Shi soldiers. Chingis locates the burial site, digs him up, and performs artificial respiration. An X-ray later confirms the bullets missed Drum's vital organs. After receiving an update from Chingis, Yusuke Nogi and his team change their plans and head toward Azerbaijan to resolve the situation and assist Drum.
About the series
The latest installment clarifies major mysteries regarding past events and character origins:
- Nogoon Bek's Survival: In Season 1, Episode 10, Yusuke Nogi purposely shot Bek, Batraka, and Piyo in non-lethal areas. Working alongside Nozaki from the Public Security Division and with approval from VIVANT unit Commander Sakurai, they faked their deaths using an unidentified body during a fire at the Uehara Residence. Bek survived emergency surgery at a hospital owned by Nozaki's brother and is now hiding at the Nogi family home in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, researching theories related to the Noah's Ark Legend.
- Jamien's Identity: Information provided by Tairan, a 70-year-old Syrian-born Turkish national in Baku, leads Nokor to reveal that Jamien is actually an orphan named Prisha. Bek and Adiel rescued her seven years ago during a mission in Turkey, causing Adiel to depart from Tent to raise her at the old Nogi residence.
