What happened
According to Dawn, a suicide bombing at the Aman Mela police checkpost in Dera Ismail Khan’s Darazinda tehsil resulted in twelve deaths and 35 injuries. An unidentified attacker drove a tractor trolley laden with explosives into the post, destroying much of the facility and completely demolishing a neighboring house. Heavy gunfire was reported immediately following the blast.
In a separate attack shortly after the explosion, unidentified assailants fired upon a Rescue 1122 ambulance transporting victims' bodies from the scene. The shooting killed two rescue workers and injured a third, though emergency personnel persisted with transport and recovery efforts despite the security threat and local mobile network outages.
