Imperial College London in the United Kingdom has opened applications for the President’s PhD Scholarship for the 2027-28 academic year. How to Apply
There is no separate application form for the scholarship. Candidates must carry out the following procedure:
- Contact an eligible Imperial academic early to secure their agreement to supervise the proposed research topic.
- Submit a standard PhD admission application through Imperial's online admissions portal.
- Indicate interest by selecting the President’s PhD Scholarship option in the funding section of the application form.
Applications for the 2027-28 intake are evaluated across three distinct selection cycles:
- Round 1: Deadline is November 2, 2026 (Decisions by January 31, 2027).
- Round 2: Deadline is January 11, 2027 (Decisions by April 15, 2027).
- Round 3: Deadline is March 1, 2027 (Decisions by May 31, 2027).
Applicants who are not awarded the scholarship may still be considered for standard PhD admission at Imperial College London.
