Scholarship Overview
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has extended its academic and research partnership with Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) in China for five years. This extension was finalized during a visit by IUB Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Kamran to participate in SAU's 120th anniversary celebrations. Through this ongoing bilateral cooperation, 56 fully-funded scholarships have been secured for students at SAU. In addition to educational opportunities, the collaboration involves joint agricultural research led by IUB's National Research Centre of Intercropping (NRCI), which has successfully introduced Chinese strip intercropping technology across more than 12,000 hectares of farmland in Pakistan.
