Scholarship Overview

University College Cork (UCC) provides fully funded academic opportunities, such as a four-year Engineering degree programme for exceptional international candidates, including students from Gaza. However, recent proceedings in the Irish High Court have highlighted difficulties regarding study visa approvals for non-government awards. While students receiving Irish Government scholarships have secured visas, those awarded places fully funded by universities or private sources have faced rejections from the Department of Justice in Dublin.

Who Can Apply

The opportunity is aimed at academically outstanding candidates. For instance, applicants mentioned in recent cases include students from Gaza who achieved top results in their final school exams—equivalent to the Leaving Certificate—with scores as high as 96.7%. Further general eligibility criteria and academic prerequisites are not specified in the source; please check the official notice.
